Face Lift

When facial skin begins to loosen, forming jowls along the jaw line and neck, facelift surgery may be an appropriate solution. A full or a partial facelift can help you look as young as you feel by reducing the signs of aging in the middle to lower portions of the face. In addition, the full facelift addresses the neck and jaw line.

Who can Benefit from a Facelift

If you exhibit the following conditions, you may want to consider a facelift:

  • Moderate to deep signs of aging in the lower third of the face
  • Sagging cheeks
  • Deep wrinkles and ‘smile lines’
  • Drooping jowls
  • Loose neck skin

Facelift Techniques

Facelift incisions are hidden in the hair and around the creases of the ear. After the incisions are made, Dr. Frenzel will sculpt or redistribute tissues of the face, jowls and neck, lift the muscles and then reposition and trim the skin. The incisions are then closed and held with sutures. The entire procedure requires about 3 hours. The appearance is a very natural look and not "pulled" appearance.

After Your Facelift

Facelift surgery is an excellent method of reducing the signs of aging on the face and neck. However, the procedure does carry some limitations. Having a realistic approach and an honest consultation with Dr. Frenzel will help ensure that the results match your expectations. After facelift surgery, some swelling and discomfort should be expected. Recovery time is approximately two weeks.
