Skin Peels:

Worried about aging and the inevitable wrinkles?  Skin Peels are a safe and effective procedure for correcting and rejuvenating the skin.

Who should consider peels?

Anyone who wants to look better and improve blemish-prone skin, wrinkles, pigmentation problems, and sun damaged skin.  Layers of dead cells are exfoliated and replaced by healthier ones allowing the skin's own clarity and tightness to resurface.  Chemical peels facilitate removal of the outermost damaged layer of skin,  revealing smoother skin, creating a glowing complexion, and minimizing the appearance of fine lines.  There are many types and strengths of peels.  The three most common types are alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) and modified jessners.  We often combine peels with micro-dermabrasion treatments to clear congested pores.

This procedure is often an alternative to chemical peels because it doesn’t require long periods of recuperation.  Using a highly controlled spray of fine crystals, we remove the outer layer of damaged skin.  This process, when repeated multiple times, allows the younger, softer skin to move to the surface, promoting changes in texture, color and appearance.  The procedure usually takes about 30 - 40 minutes, depending upon the skin condition and the area to be treated.  We will evaluate your condition and recommend whether you are a candidate; this will include the specified number of treatments and the time between each.
