Dr. Frenzel is dual fellowship trained in bariatric surgery and cosmetic plastic surgery. With this degree of knowledge and experience, he is able to walk with patients through the entire process of bariatric surgery and post bariatrics. In addition to helping bariatric patients reach their full potential, Dr. Frenzel has expertise in cosmetic facial surgery for patients looking to correct any problem spots.
Facial cosmetic procedures include the brow lift, chin surgery, and cheek implants.
One of the first areas to show signs of aging is the forehead and brow. Even people in their thirties start noticing a low brown, deep lines in the forehead, etc. If you have notice changes in your face, such as Crow’s feet, excess upper eyelid skin, forehead creases, or an abnormal brow shape, consider the benefits of the brow lift.
Dr. Frenzel uses the endoscopic technique, which corrects brow ptosis. As a less invasive surgical approach, the endoscope aids in surgery by providing a view of the underlying tissue. During the procedure, the forehead skin is lifted and tightened and the brow is slightly elevated for a natural, youthful look.
There are many ways to keep your youthful appearance. Chin augmentation surgery and cheek implants can transform the shape of the face to keep your facial profile flawless. Patients who lack chin projection and want to improve their profile can safely undergo chin augmentation surgery.
Both men and women undergo chin surgery for a stronger jawline and to elongate the face. During the surgery, the implant is placed over the lower jaw bone structure, which strengthens your jaw line. A silicone implant is available in various shapes and sizes for a more natural, well-balanced appearance.
Cheek implants are another means of improving your facial profile. During an initial consultation with Dr. Frenzel, you can discuss your problem areas and determine which facial surgery will give you the specific look you desire.
Cheek implants are best for people born with deficient cheeks and those who have lost facial fat due to aging. Anatomical implants and fat transfer take your flat cheeks and create a full, well-balanced facial profile.
Facial implants are inserting through a small incision made inside the mouth in the crease above the upper lip. Dissolvable sutures close the incisions. Cheek augmentation with implants is performed under general or local anesthesia with mild IV sedation.
Fat transfer is another option. Fat is harvested through liposuction, typically on the abdomen or thigh. Purified and stored in a freezer, the cheeks are then numbed with local anesthesia and the fat is injected in layers into the shallow areas of the cheeks.
All of the facial surgeries performed by Dr. Frenzel require a quick and minimal recovery. Though some temporary bruising and swelling is to be expected.
